Portugal was born in the region of Porto and North, where the Portuguese became a people and a nation, in the twelfth century.
Porto is dramatically hilly location on the Atlantic coast, Portugal's second city – best known as the historic home of port wine – has plenty it could shout about, not least an unrelentingly pretty old town with characterful winding streets, tiled churches and World Heritage-protected status.
The Ribeira neighborhood, with its down-at-heel quayside and authentic street-life vibe, acts as the city's main magnet. While there are no major, must-see landmarks, Porto is still a great place to burn shoe leather: the mighty Douro river offers long, peaceful walks to miles of sandy beaches, while its steep banks, dotted with shady parks and panoramic viewing posts, will appeal to the urban rambler.
Porto is rich with well-preserved treasures, including monuments in the Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and Neo-classical style. See the major sights such as Cathedral, Real Companhia Velha Port Wine Cellars, Clerigos, Foz and Boavista.

With close walkable distance you could rich Porto’s churches and most emblematic monuments of Invicta: Clérigos Tower, famous São Bento train station and the imposing Cathedral of Porto.
You could also visit Casa de Serralves is a villa and museum located inside the park of Serralves or just head for the beaches in Foz and Matosinhos on foot along the sun-drenched esplanade, or hitch a ride on the rickety historic tram from outside the Museu do Carro Eléctrico, which terminates at the start of the praias.
Straight after breakfast at your hotel we will start our tour to Porto, the country´s second largest city and one of Europe's most charismatic cities has carefully preserved its architectonic treasures. This is the city that originated and named Port Wine and Portugal, famed for its riverside hills, medieval alleys, Parisian-style plazas, historic monuments and churches and a rather enchanting atmosphere. We will start our tour from a walk of the Rua Santa Catarina to discover malls, shopping centers and famous traditional cafes of Porto such as a café Majestic and Porto is a vestige of the twenties.
Visit the São Bento railway station, with its tile panels depicting the history of Portugal, followed by visiting the 12th-century Porto Cathedral – complex which also houses the Episcopal palace - resembles a fortress and enjoys a hilltop location from where you can get your first views of the Ribeira and Vila Nova de Gaia.
We will have exceptional lunch at the local restaurant "Ribeira”, located on the main square of the river side.
Continuing with a visit to Palais de la Bourse, which has a Moorish hall whose backdrop resembles the Alhambra Palace in Granada
Finally we join wine tasting Porto at the famous vine caves located on the left bank on Douro River.
Make your way back to your coach and relax on your journey to your hotel. Diner with drink at your hotel is included.
Straight after breakfast at your hotel we will start our tour to Barcelos. Barcelos' historical center is known for its ceramic handicraft: the colorful Rooster of Barcelos, its main icon.
Tour will include discover of Campo da Republica with its 18th century churches decorated with tiles and gothic 16th century pillory. Walk through the typical local market with a nice friendly atmosphere and Portuguese chlorite. Continue Braga, the Rome of Portugal, is the spiritual home of the country with thirty five churches chiming across the city. There is a rich cultural heritage marked by impressive religious festivals and architecture.
Everywhere in the old town you will encounter fine old burghers' houses and noble mansions built of granite in an imposing style characteristic of this city. You will discover outstanding churches are the Misericordia Church built in Italian Renaissance style during the 16th century, Santa Cruz that features Arococo façade, Sao Joao de Souto dating back to the 18th century and the Capela da Conceiçao from the 16th century. And also visit Igreja de Bom Jesus de Braga (Church of Rococo style) is a Portuguese sanctuary in the surroundings of the city of Braga.
Then we will take our way to Guimaraes, is known as the "cradle of the nation", owing to the fact that it was the first capital of Portugal. It has a well preserved old town and profusion of historic monuments and art treasures. The historic town has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the examples of architecture ranging from the 15th to the 19th centuries.
We will have a lunch in the local restaurant with exceptional local kitchen
After lunch we are going to visit Guimaraes Castle in the north on the hill and the Palace of the Dukes of Braganca is located. The seven towered castle has a fantastic strategic viewpoint overlooking Guimaraes and the hilly, terraced countryside around. Built in around 1100 it is still amazingly intact.

Straight after breakfast at your hotel we will start our tour to The Serralves Museum. It was created in 1989 and is located in the wonderful Serralves Park, right in the Oporto city center, in the North region of the Country. All the area is filled with beauty and creativity, consisting of several spaces, such as the Park, the House, the Contemporary Art Museum, the Library, the Auditorium and this amazing Park. The Serralves Villa is even considered to be one of the best examples of Art Deco in Portugal, designed by Marques da Silva. The Serralves Park also houses a Library specialized in Contemporary Art and the Serralves House and Park, as well as thematic areas such as Architecture, Nature and Landscaping, and also an Auditorium that hosts a series of contemporary performing arts, among dance, theatre, music, colloquiums, seminars, among many others. (Garden and museums visits are included).
Cruise - Lunch to discover beautiful River Douro from another angle. (Approx. 2.5 to 3 hours).
After fantastic lunch cruise we are going to have a walk through the Rua de Santa Catarina which is a shopping and pedestrian street in the center of Porto. This Street is always full of life. Before making our way to the hotel we will discover the famous house of music (exterior visit).
