Arriving at Lisbon Airport, an official guide will met up group and bring it to the coach of Grand tourism bus. A Panoramic Tour of the city will be providing. Lisbon is built on 7 hills like Rome; Lisbon is an amphitheatre that looks down onto the Tagus, the river it has always depended on. There's history oozing out of its romantic avenues, old Moorish quarters, Roman underpinnings and Manueline, Baroque and Gothic monuments, off-set by some of the boldest modern buildings by local and international architects. This is a cosmopolitan centre of commerce that will appeal to your senses and to your gourmet instincts. It is a palette of colours where the sun shines almost the whole year round. We will start our tour by visiting the area Belem, Lisbon's most monumental and historical area which is Belem. It was from here that many of the great Portuguese explorers embarked on their voyages of discovery: Prince Henry the Navigator and the first overseas expedition to conquer Ceuta in Morocco, Bartholomeu Dias to round the Cape of Good Hope, the first voyages of Ferdinand Magellan, Vasco da Gama to discover the sea route to India, and Christopher Columbus stopped here on his way back to Europe after discovering the New World. We will visit the monastery of Jerónimos (external visit included), whose construction have begun in 1501 at the request of D. Manuel I and will end one hundred years later. It was built in the middle of the Imperial, this monument of architecture and one of the final decorative Gothic elements and renaissance, it is one of the most beautiful monuments of Lisbon. Arriving to the hotel in the centre of Lisbon. After breakfast at your hotel we will departure towards the centre of the country and will be stopping at Óbidos, an extraordinary and romantic place. This middle age small town is incredibly picturesque with its cobblestone streets that are lined with colourful houses and are filled with Gothic doorways and windows. We will also taste the famous local liqueur, "The Ginginha" which is drunk in a small glass of artisan handmade chocolate. Later we will continue to Nazaré, the pleasant climate and stunning natural beauty of Portugal. The Nazaré is a beach in Portugal, where the traditions of fishing still takes place and it is not unusual to see female fish sellers’ market which are still using seven petticoats, as required by tradition.
We will stop for a lunch in typical Portuguese restaurant with exceptional local kitchen. Looking towards the sea, from the right side, you will see an impressive promontory. It's in this place, called Sitio where you can discover one of the most famous views of the Portuguese coast. There is very steep rocky place overlooking to the sea at 318 meters above sea level. Break with free time and a lunch by the sea included. Continuation to Batalha, we will visit Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, known as the Batalha Monastery, a masterpiece of man, as recognized by UNESCO, to classify it as a World Heritage Site. Warrant build in 1388 by King John I, in fulfilment of the promise made to the Virgin Mary, where Portugal won Spain in Aljubarrota Battle. It was built over two centuries, during the reign of seven kings. It’s a jewel of gothic flamboyant (late gothic) and Manueline architecture. It was the first pantheon of Portuguese kings, houses the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and it’s a symbol of royal power and divine legitimation of the Avis dynasty. Straight after breakfast at your hotel we will leave towards Porto, the country´s second largest city and one of Europe's most charismatic cities which has carefully preserved its architectonic treasures. This is the city that originated and named Port Wine and Portugal, famed for its riverside hills, medieval alleys, Parisian-style plazas, historic monuments and churches and a rather enchanting atmosphere. We will start our tour from a walk of the Rua Santa Catarina to discover malls, shopping centres and famous traditional cafes of Porto, such as a café Majestic and Porto is a vestige of the twenties. Visit the São Bento railway station, with its tile panels depicting the history of Portugal, followed by visiting the 12th-century Porto Cathedral – complex which also houses the Episcopal palace - resembles a fortress and enjoys a hilltop location from where you can get your first views of the Ribeira and Vila Nova de Gaia. We will have exceptional lunch at the local restaurant "Ribeira”, located on the main square of the river side.
Today will also include a mini-cruise on the Douro River, the very best vantage point to from witch to see the city. Finally we join wine tasting Porto at the famous vine caves located on the left bank of Douro River. Make our way back to the coach and relax on our back journey to the hotel in Leiria. Straight after breakfast at your hotel we will make our way towards to Tomar, a city with a very important role in Portuguese and World History, and which is closely related to the monk’s route of the Order of Knights Templar. After a brief city tour, we will visit the Convent of Christ. Situated high on a hill, which was founded in 1160 by the Grand Master of the Templars, Dom Gualdim Pais. The Convent of Christ belonged to the medieval Knights Templar and was the headquarters of its heiress, the Order of Christ. In the 15th century, Prince Henry planned here most of his explorations to the New World. It is quoted as the pinnacle of the Manueline style in Portugal and is classified by the UNESCO as World Heritage. On this tour we will visit the Shrine of Fatima, the world’s largest centre of veneration to the Virgin Mary, located in Cova da Iria, where, on May 13th, 1917, three shepherds, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, had the appearance of Our Lady, brighter than the sun, on the top of an oak tree. We will stop for a lunch in a typical Portuguese restaurant with exceptional local kitchen. Continuance towards to Alcobaça, where we will discover the monastery of Santa Maria, founded in the 12th century by King Alphonse I. By the scale of its dimensions, the clarity of the architectural beauty of the material and the care taken in execution can be seen straight away. It is considered a masterpiece of Cistercian Gothic art. It was listed in world’s heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 1989. It was also stated as one of the seven wonders of the Portugal in July of 2007. End of the day return transfer to your hotel in Leiria. Dinner with live music and Folk party.

Straight after breakfast at your hotel we will leave towards to Conimbriga, just 10 miles away. This was an important Roman city that still preserves many not-to-be-missed mosaics. These valuable treasures are displayed in the museum next to the ruins. Our tour continues towards south, and we will stop in Coimbra. There we will visit the University of Coimbra, one of the oldest Universities in Europe dating back to the sixteenth century with a richly decorated baroque library that people travel from far and wide to see. The walls are covered by two storied shelves, in gilded or painted exotic woods; the painted ceilings blend harmoniously with the rest of the decoration. The library contains about 250,000 volumes: works of medicine, geography, history, humanistic studies, science, civil and canonical law, philosophy and theology. We will stop for a lunch in typical Portuguese restaurant with exceptional local kitchen. Finally In the afternoon we visit the National Park of Buçaco a beautiful and magic place with nature and history. The woods were planted by order of a female religious congregation in the 17th century. Dinner and accommodation.
